Fasching

Again a throwback post, but not too late =) This was an event organised by the hospitality gang for their final practical exam. Fasching - a German event so we were eating German Food that night.
Located at Berjaya Samplings on the fourteen

We were lucky to have cocktail party as well that day because the culinary students were having their final practical exam.

Culinary students from BUCH! Different kinds of finger food and snack! I'm loving it because I was super hungry that time so not much photo taken. Oops

We were so busy enjoying our food before the fine dining start =) *Ignore the ugly face HEHEHE

Cheerssss =D

Mocktail in the process

Design of the night and it was all designed and planned by the hospitality gang! Clap Clap!

Table setting

Yuki acted as a clown to entertain the customers that night

Props and photobooth of the night

From appetiser to main course and dessert! Sorry for my poor photography skill @@

Enjoy my 4 course fine dining German Food =D

We were enjoying but they were working hard! HAHAHA

It's good to have a photographer that night =)

Kinda enjoyed the night and well done for the hospitality that night. They had spent thousand of sleepless night just for this event

Lastly, a candid of me =)
Learning is a gift, even when pain is your teacher =)
Cheers always =D

Day Trip to Pulau Ketam

On 5th of October which was a sunny Saturday, we went to Pulau Ketam for assignment purpose! Because we were tourism students, so we had to evaluate a destination's life cycle!
After searching so long for where to go, finally we decided to go to Pulau Ketam because it was the nearest destination!

It was easily accessible from public transport =)
1. From KL Sentral, took KTM to Port Klang for RM4.30 one way.
Since we missed the train at KL sentral, so we decided to have breakfast at Subway first

The exploring mates for this trip! The only guy with us and He was new to Malaysia! =D
We took around 1 hour plus to reach the jetty in Port Klang. Kinda fast compared to the information we searched through online.

Finally we reached Port Klang! My gals also joined this trip because I appointed Hee hee to be our photographer for the trip! All the photos credited to her.

A view of the jetty at Port Klang

My assignment group mates! First outing with Andrew who was from Korea!
Annyeong ha sae yo =) The rest I no need to introduce because they were my annoying roommate and housemate =p

The schedule of the boat time and we bought the air con speedboat that cost RM7 per way

With the ticket seller!
Pulau Ketam was a small island with around 8000 villagers on the island and most of them were fishermen. Most of residents there are Chinese.

Exciting because we gonna explored the island soon!

Our speedboat to reach the island

Not really big but quite cooling. Took approximately 45 minutes to reach the island.

Finally we reached the island! It was so dry and got so MANY crabs crawling on the muddy place! No wonder it was named Pulau Ketam.

Pulau Ketam, we were here! =)

FYI, no car in the island and most of the villagers ride bicycle and electronic scooter!
Cool right?! a peaceful island
Tourist can rent a bicycle for RM5 per day

The annoying gals for 7 years and still counting!

Then, we explored the village by ourself because there was nothing much to do on the island.
So took photo was the only entertainment

Really a peaceful village where all the houses above the water. There was B&B and homestay for people who want to spend a night there

Tried this fried ice-cream from the uncle! Quite nice though
RM2.50 each with different flavours

It was Andrew's first fried ice cream that day and he liked it

The only temple on the island and also one of the attraction

The only travel agency on the island and there was little rain that time

The alley in the village with a very village feel~ I kept persuade Andrew to do the same posting with us HAHAHA

After exploring for awhile, we went to have lunch because one of the must-do things at there is eating seafood!

Crabby crabby in the pail

There is quite a lot of restaurant so we just try our luck and went to a restaurant with much people because we did survey through blog that some tourist said that they got ripped off

Andrew didn't know we were taking photo so I'm sorry! =)
The weather there was HOT too! After struggling hard on what we wanted to eat, finally we made our decision.

Ordered 4 dishes which were salted prawn, salted egg crab, claypot tofu and vegetables.
The Lala jien was from another stall and it cost RM10
Surprisingly, the portion was quite BIG for 6 of us and the prawn was all big in size!
We were worry that time because we donno how much this meal will cost because we ask the person to cook all in small size.
So, how much do u guess ?

A group photo of us where we had our lunch.
Overall cost RM138 included rice and drinks!
Still reasonable I think =)

After lunch, we explored the village again since we had to do assignment =.=
Beautiful place which let you feel calm although there are lotsa rubbish in the island

Most of the villagers there were Buddhist because they pray for sea God

A selca pic of mine! =D

The cement bridge and the villager told us that last time everything used to be wood and because the needs of tourism, they build the road in cement so that tourist will feel safe.
Amelia went back earlier because she have to backed before night time

The ice stick which cost RM2.50 each and you can bring the thing back home and made your own ice stick! HEHE
Childhood memories!

During evening, the water level started to rise
The first pic is we took it on afternoon and the second pic is before we left the island.

A selca picture of us to end the day in Pulau Ketam

We did take 2 videos which I liked it very much! Enjoyed the scenery with great companions! =)

Love this video app so much because we can forever keeping the memorable moments! =)

I knew we were so silly! HAHAHA!
Till then and hope you enjoy reading =)
Have a nice day

Chiling Waterfalls @ Kuala Kubu Bharu

Last Saturday went to Chiling Waterfall with my course mates as one of our field trip. It was the most adventurous day since I was born and I will never ever forgot that day!
It was located at Selangor and about 1 hour and 30 mins to reach the place.

3 of us were extremely excited with our newly bought waterproof bag and waited lecturer to pick us at 7am.

The van from our school and it was scary! Lecturer said he will never touched the van again!
Because when we went up from basement, the signboard on the carpark scratched the roof of the van! =.= We thought something chasing behind our van at first!
Settled our breakkie at Mamak behind the school, then headed to the waterfalls!
all of my course mates except the pity lecturer who was driving =)

Before reaching the waterfall, we stopped at here for some fresh air! Beautiful scenery there!

Reached the carpark and there were lotsa monkeys welcoming us =D

YES! We reached! It was many people that day! A lot!
Surprisingly the entrance fee only RM1! CHEAP NOT?!
Everyone had to register their name at the counter so that the ranger will look for you if you get lost =)

A big group of people camping at there! That why it was so crowded that day

The map of the waterfall! FYI, we had to crossed a total of SIX river in order to reach the waterfalls.
Excited excited!

Took our clean shoes before getting into the jungle! Don't dare to imagine how muddy it will be later!

Ready to trek!
I think the management had a really good policy which was they did not allowed people to bring heavy food into the jungle because human being for sure will simply throw the rubbish! Human's Nature! Therefore, we had to pay deposit for the food that we bring, and we had to bring the rubbish out and throw into the rubbish bin in front of them to get back the deposit!
I LIKE THIS POLICY A LOT AND I THINK SARAWAK'S SHOULD PRACTICE THIS ALSO

Luckily the weather that day was super GOOD! No raining!
The flow was quite fast and it was at my waist height =.=
IT WAS SUPER COLD SOMEMORE!!

our group for this assignment =D Nice to meet so many new friends

Didn't mean to promote the school but because we did not want other shirt to get dirty! =X

The girl's group of the day!

Finally!! after an hour plus trekking, we reached the waterfalls!

Breathtaking view!
But the water was also extremely chiling! It was as cold as ice!
I gonna freeze in the water although the sun very big that day!

Those were the fishes in the river and you can see it extremely clearly! They swam around you so near and all of them were fatty boom boom!
It was my first time in the river saw so many fishes near me!

Group photo with the lecturer =)
Subject : Special Interest Tourism

Enjoying in the crystal clear river! NICE!

However, there were something happened on the day. Because some of the fren had jumped down from the waterfall and they said it was awesome, so they pushed me to try. But I did not know how to swim so I was kinda scare at first. But they said they will catch me. So, the first time I swim there with a guy, den it was too deep n i nearly drown! I quickly pull his shirt almost let me tear off dy i guess, I was so freaking ps and sorry! din mean to tear ur shirt but I nearly drown =.= Second time, jean bring me over and when we almost reached, suddenly she sink and nearly no breath but luckily someone throw a life jacket over! THANK GOD! If not, we both habis cerita!
The water was too too too too DEEP! I think got around few metres deep! and for people who donno how to swim like me, it was extremely dangerous! I learnt a lesson >.<
SCARY EXPERIENCE !!

Done with the trekking at 3 something in the afternoon, so hungry but was low bat at the same time!
Ar around 5pm, stopped at a place for our lunch (it's actually dinner) at A&W!
After lunch, horrible things happened again!

Our poor van couldn't start! And the guys push the car and we drove back with fast heart beats!
Especially when over the toll, we cant even stopped! Because once we stopped, I think our van cant go on again.

Lastly, after this trip, I seriously think that adventure tourism was not my thing!
