Siem Reap Day 4

It was the last day in Siem Reap because tomorrow early morning we will fly back to Malaysia!
So woke up at had breakfast at the villa which was included.

Bread with omelette and fresh fruit! We almost everyday ate banana there! HEHE

After that, we went to the silk farm which was booked yesterday at Artisan Angkor and it was FOC!
As it had free pick up from Artisan Angkor.

A tour guide with us to explain how the silk formed and the life cycle of cocoon.
Interesting!

The silk factory! Seriously the handmade silk was really a tough job!
Support Cambodia handmade's silk!

After visiting the silk farm, as we got nothing to do, so we decided to go back to our previous hotel Golden Butterly Villa!
The staff were so happy to see us back and asked how was our stay at the other hotel! We nagged to them we missed here alot and especially the food here! So they free us welcome drinks again!
Cooling Ice Lemon Tea for a hot weather!

Then, we ate lunch at there because it was our last day in Cambodia! Gonna miss Amok a alot!
Jean's eggplant mince meat with rice USD3
Mine Khmer Curry with rice USD3
Spare ribs USD2.75
*We just realised this hotel's food was same as the one we eaten last night because under same boss! No wonder the menu looked exactly same!
Craved for the spare ribs since last night and I finally ordered it!
rated: 10/10

The whole table was full of FOOD!!! Really full because all the portion was kinda big!

Ting ate Amok again! HAHAHA!! Amok's lover!

After lunch, and we got nothing to do and we had to take tuk-tuk go back so we planned to have body massage there and THEY FREE FOR US AGAIN!!!
They were too AWESOME!! Really touch my heart! The greatest services!!

Then, we went back to our villa and had afternoon nap. So lifeless! Yes I knew =.=
And we used to take tuk-tuk for USD1! No longer asked from the villa because it cost USD1.50!

The reason we chose this villa was because of the swimming pool. Our plan B if its rained heavily and we were extremely regret for this decision! Not really nice and small though. Sigh

Then, headed to pub street again for dinner. We did try the only KFC in Siem Reap and it was hmmm. no comment! Then we saw people ate their own brand of fried chicken so we gave it a try.

Lucky Chicken, Cambodian fried chicken

We then dine in at a Mexican Cafe at pub street.
Took a long time to think where to dine at because we were indecisive!

Our last dinner at Cambodia!
Jean's tacos  USD1.50
Mine Beef burger USD4
Ting's ribs with fried rice USD5
I liked my burger! The beef was thick enough! HEHE

Gonna say goodbye to this lovely city! =)

Then we ended our last night at a rooftop bar with some Angkor beers!
That's all about my Cambodia Trip! Finally I finished blogging although everything was not so in detail! =)

Siem Reap Day 3

It was day 3 in Siem Reap and seriously we got nothing to do! OMG! Came for too many days Oopss..
So today we woke up quite late in the morning because the sun out there was too scorching.
I did not want to turn into a charcoal moi when back to Malaysia!

This was actually the picnic set for us during the visit to the temple but we forgot to make the booking before time so we request it during our check out! Time to leave this lovely hotel! So sad!
It gave me a feeling at home because all the staff were so nice and kind! How I wish I forever stayed there because we don't want to accept the fact that we were moving to another hotel =(

Goodbye Golden Butterfly Villa! The best hotel in Siem Reap!
Rating: 10/10

Then, we checked in at Okay1 villa which was kinda far from the pub street and night market! SIGH! So we had to take tuk tuk whenever we want to go out! So troublesome Aishhhh

Our room in Okay1 villa because we had 3 people and they do not allow extra bed. So they asked us to change to bigger room which add 30USD in extra. SIGH again! The design of the hotel was like a temple and we not really comfortable with it =.= We actually wanted to stayed at Golden Butterfly Villa but it was fully booked =(

After settling down, we took a tuk tuk for USD1.50 (called by the hotel) and go out. We went to Artisan Angkor Centre which was FOC =)
The silk making scarf machine

group photo =)

The natural silk

The painting workshop and most of them were disabled and they used body language to communicate!
Seriously, Cambodian was really so GOOD at art and crafts!

The wood crafting workshop and all of them were so talented!!
How can they turned a big wood into something which cost so much money ? Brilliant!

After visiting Artisan Angkor, we got no place to go so we sat at a cafe for the whole noon!LOL

I love watching people's lifestyle and did nothing, HEHE

It's dinner time! The most excited time for everyday because we were food lovers!
Went to Cambodian Soup Restaurant!
Strongly recommended!
All the price was reasonable and me likeyyyy! Hehe

The Cambodian BBQ and the staff helped us because we did not know how to do it and he taught us!
So friendly and it was yummy!!
The traditional Cambodian BBQ include crocodile meat, rabbit meat, snake meat OMG!!
we want it at beef and pork!!

look for this restuarant! located at pub street =)

After that, night life~~
I forgot the name but ended the day with live band~ =)

Siem Reap Day 2

The second day in Siem Reap we planned to see the greatest ancient ruins - Angkor Wat
Had booked a tuk-tuk a night before to pick us up to all the attraction at Angkor Area and it cost USD15 for whole day.
Woke up very early in the morning because we wanted to witness the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Guessed what ? We did not know we success of seeing the sunrise or fail! HAHA
It was 5 something in the morning and there was full of tourist already! We go for the one day pass that cost USD20 because I don't think we will spent 3 days in the temple. Maybe wait I become an archaeologist ? HAHAHA! next century maybe =p
We have stand there and take a passport size photo to get printed on the ticket =)
Seriously, you are advised to rent the tuk tuk for whole day because the compound was HUGE! Walking will definitely kill you unless you are a marathon runner =D
Another option will be riding on a bicycle!

Will showing the photo to Angkor Wat temple, Bayon temple, Baphuon temple, Elephant Terrace, and Ta Prohm temple.
The shadow of the whole temple on the water! It was really beautiful and also crowded with all kind of tourist! =.=

With the sleepy eyes in the early morning

Can you see how huge is the sites ? No wonder it was listed under UNESCO because it has more than hundred years of history=)
We didn't book any tour guide but you can hired one if you wanted to know more about the history of the sites.

Seriously I couldn't imagine how they are going to climb up so high in the olden days!
I will probably kill myself during the half way when climbing up.

We were so tiny =D

Luckily got the man made staircase and it had already made me climb till half dead. =.=

Say hello to this awesome place

If you wan fitness during your vacation, buy the 7 day pass and run here everyday! =D

Can you spot the tiny me ? hehehe

Woohoo!

After visiting Angkor Wat, we request the tuk tuk driver to drive us back to hotel because we were too hungry. @@

tuk-tuk girls

Our breakfast at the hotel! Ting fell in love with Amok and he almost ordered it everyday! LOL

After breakfast, we went to all the famous temple at Angkor area.
Bayon Temple was popular for the Buddha faces.

It's pictures time!! =D
At Bayon Temple

love this pic a lot IDK why, it gave me very unique feeling

Group photo of the day~

The popular 4 sided Buddha faces at Bayon Temple

Forgot this temple's name I think they were more or less the same! HEHE
But if you like ancient stuff, study the history of the site will be interesting!

Spot the tuk tuk in a mini size! hehe

The souvenir stall located at the temple area

Ta Prohm Temple

In the middle of donno where LOL

Elephant Terrace

Love this photo! Wonder who will go Angkor Wat and shoot for their wedding photos? HEHE

After seeing the staircase I wish I can fly!

This was built on the 10th century! Now already 21th century!

Group photo again

Me n Jean

Okay let me end the angkor visiting with this photo.
*Really sorry I forgot most of the details of the temple and all the photo was in a mess. Because I had delayed this post for too long. HEHE

After that, we requested the driver to send us to Tonle Sap Lake, the BIGGEST lake in south east Asia.
It was god damn far from Angkor Wat! I guessed around 45mins to reach there!

Since it was raining season in Cambodia now, so all the villagers move their home to water! Have you ever see water house?

This is when we were on the boat.
*As Tonle Sap Lake is a tourist spot, so somehow we got ripped off because our hotel's memo told us that if 3 people on a boat should be charged at only USD27. Which mean USD9 per pax. However, we been charged USD15 per pax and could not negotiate because we thought it was under boat company.
BUT!!! 2 foreigners been charged for USD20 per pax!

Only 3 of us on the boat with 2 boatman. The kid started massage on my back and I was so shocked! After awhile, he requested 1 dollar from me! =.=

Since you boarded on the boat, the boatman will kept on telling you that there was a children house and all of them were orphanage and they were so pity bla bla bla~ Then, they will brought you to a store that sell rice at RIDICULOUS PRICE!! Imagine one packet of rice was sold at USD45!
The boatman kept on persuading us to help the poor but we only have a look without buying any stuff. He then straight sent us back to the jetty without stopping at the children house.

Seriously I don't mind if it can help the poor and needy but not through this way. How much money actually earned by the business people than help the poor? They only seek the pity children as one of their tool to earn easy money in a good and charitable way.

In the middle of the lake

It stop at somewhere for us to see crocodile =.=

Tuk tuk driver of the day! Thank for bringing us to the east and to the west!

After whole day of outing, we returned to hotel for a short rest and prepared to go out for dinner!
Flip through the must visit restaurant in the Apps of Iphone, we then cycled to FCC Angkor.

A very fine dining restaurant with NICE price.

The food was nice but was quite expensive. The drink cost USD4, pizza USD9 and Lasagna USD8.50. Because most of the restaurant at pub street there were only 4-5 USD normally.
But a good meal to pampered ourself after a tiring day was totally worth it =)

The night activity will be continue shopping for souvenirs

After that, we had a drink at the island bar
Enjoy ourself with music and chit-chatting~
That's all about day 2 =)
