Siem Reap Day 2

The second day in Siem Reap we planned to see the greatest ancient ruins - Angkor Wat
Had booked a tuk-tuk a night before to pick us up to all the attraction at Angkor Area and it cost USD15 for whole day.
Woke up very early in the morning because we wanted to witness the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Guessed what ? We did not know we success of seeing the sunrise or fail! HAHA
It was 5 something in the morning and there was full of tourist already! We go for the one day pass that cost USD20 because I don't think we will spent 3 days in the temple. Maybe wait I become an archaeologist ? HAHAHA! next century maybe =p
We have stand there and take a passport size photo to get printed on the ticket =)
Seriously, you are advised to rent the tuk tuk for whole day because the compound was HUGE! Walking will definitely kill you unless you are a marathon runner =D
Another option will be riding on a bicycle!

Will showing the photo to Angkor Wat temple, Bayon temple, Baphuon temple, Elephant Terrace, and Ta Prohm temple.
The shadow of the whole temple on the water! It was really beautiful and also crowded with all kind of tourist! =.=

With the sleepy eyes in the early morning

Can you see how huge is the sites ? No wonder it was listed under UNESCO because it has more than hundred years of history=)
We didn't book any tour guide but you can hired one if you wanted to know more about the history of the sites.

Seriously I couldn't imagine how they are going to climb up so high in the olden days!
I will probably kill myself during the half way when climbing up.

We were so tiny =D

Luckily got the man made staircase and it had already made me climb till half dead. =.=

Say hello to this awesome place

If you wan fitness during your vacation, buy the 7 day pass and run here everyday! =D

Can you spot the tiny me ? hehehe

Woohoo!

After visiting Angkor Wat, we request the tuk tuk driver to drive us back to hotel because we were too hungry. @@

Me n Jean

Okay let me end the angkor visiting with this photo.
*Really sorry I forgot most of the details of the temple and all the photo was in a mess. Because I had delayed this post for too long. HEHE

After that, we requested the driver to send us to Tonle Sap Lake, the BIGGEST lake in south east Asia.
It was god damn far from Angkor Wat! I guessed around 45mins to reach there!

Since it was raining season in Cambodia now, so all the villagers move their home to water! Have you ever see water house?

This is when we were on the boat.
*As Tonle Sap Lake is a tourist spot, so somehow we got ripped off because our hotel's memo told us that if 3 people on a boat should be charged at only USD27. Which mean USD9 per pax. However, we been charged USD15 per pax and could not negotiate because we thought it was under boat company.
BUT!!! 2 foreigners been charged for USD20 per pax!

Only 3 of us on the boat with 2 boatman. The kid started massage on my back and I was so shocked! After awhile, he requested 1 dollar from me! =.=

Since you boarded on the boat, the boatman will kept on telling you that there was a children house and all of them were orphanage and they were so pity bla bla bla~ Then, they will brought you to a store that sell rice at RIDICULOUS PRICE!! Imagine one packet of rice was sold at USD45!
The boatman kept on persuading us to help the poor but we only have a look without buying any stuff. He then straight sent us back to the jetty without stopping at the children house.

Seriously I don't mind if it can help the poor and needy but not through this way. How much money actually earned by the business people than help the poor? They only seek the pity children as one of their tool to earn easy money in a good and charitable way.

In the middle of the lake

It stop at somewhere for us to see crocodile =.=

Tuk tuk driver of the day! Thank for bringing us to the east and to the west!

After whole day of outing, we returned to hotel for a short rest and prepared to go out for dinner!
Flip through the must visit restaurant in the Apps of Iphone, we then cycled to FCC Angkor.

A very fine dining restaurant with NICE price.

The food was nice but was quite expensive. The drink cost USD4, pizza USD9 and Lasagna USD8.50. Because most of the restaurant at pub street there were only 4-5 USD normally.
But a good meal to pampered ourself after a tiring day was totally worth it =)

The night activity will be continue shopping for souvenirs

After that, we had a drink at the island bar
Enjoy ourself with music and chit-chatting~
That's all about day 2 =)
